youve got to me kidding me. i could barely get through this listening to this without having an aneurysm.
1) in general, what is so ridiculous about all these “conspiracy theories” (find me a less loaded term, and ill use it) is the lack of internal logic. half the time, these people are saying “the world is a risky place and you cant expect govt to protect you from everything”. fine, totally legit. but then at the very same time, those same people seem to blame EVERY bad thing that happens on some sort of govt conspiracy. there are certainly enough legitimate grievances against govt out there that there is actually EVIDENCE for, but by promoting these idiotic nonsensical theories, they make it so easy to dismiss even everything they say.
2) about this video. sigh. im *almost* speechless. its so funny how on the one hand, “conspiracy theorists” like to talk about how useless “experts” and people with degrees are, and yet love to use any old idiot with an MD after her name to talk about virology she knows fuck all about. then, despite all the paranoia about flu and other diseases being giant plots for big pharma to sell usesless or dangerous medicine, this little segment and this doctor’s appearance, turn out to just be one long commercial for colloidal silver. a toxic metal with little to no known effectiveness. OH, THE IRONY.
3) sorry, what about this looks like bioterrorism? the fact that its been so very mild in most places? the fact that we dont yet have a vaccine for it? yes! evil genius plan!
yes, the virus has components related to avian, swine and human flu – that is not really surprising, gene resortment is why viruses are so successful in replicating, mutating and surviving.
i wanted to also say something about the whole vaccination thing, but i will save that for if i ever post on my blog again, because its an epic.
