Obama unveils $3.83T budget with massive deficits
President Barack Obama sent Congress a $3.83 trillion budget on Monday that would pour more money into the fight against high unemployment, boost taxes on the wealthy and freeze spending for a wide swath of government programs.
The deficit for this year would surge to a record-breaking $1.56 trillion, topping last year’s then unprecedented $1.41 trillion gap. The deficit would remain above $1 trillion in 2011 although the president proposed to institute a three-year budget freeze on a variety of programs outside of the military and homeland security.

Obama vows to fight for jobs in retooled message
President Barack Obama tried to revive his battered agenda and rally despondent Democrats on Friday with a renewed emphasis on jobs.

This lies somewhere between idiocy and shameless pandering. The pandering is evidenced in the obscene something-for-everyone budget which attempts to buy votes by sprinkling money on every special interest you’ve ever heard of. The idiocy comes from running a deficit on one hand and from presuming to create jobs on the other. In fact, government does not have the power to create jobs, because government has nothing which it doesn’t take from its people. Government only has the power to redirect jobs. Efficient, private-sector jobs must be destroyed so that in-efficient, politically motivated, public-sector jobs might be created.

Ron Paul vs Anthony Weiner on Healthcare
I think Paul handled this very deftly, quickly finding gaping holes in Weiner’s big government propaganda.
Senator Elect Scott Brown – not a conservative
David Frum and David Brooks calls in 2008 for Republicans to ditch libertarianism are disgusting.
SA is right about the liberty movement needing leaders. Senator Demint is fiscal conservative, but foreign policy wise, he’s a neo-con. There is, of course, Ron Paul. Rand Paul and Peter Schiff are also running.
Attack dogs unleashed in Ron Paul’s home district
From a mailing:
Seven candidates have filed to run against me. These candidates include three Republicans in my own primary on March 2, and they will stop at nothing to tear down and destroy all we have worked for.
Please read some of the quotes my opponents have been throwing at me:
“(Ron Paul) wants to cut spending on our military industrial complex because he believes in a weaker foreign policy.”
“Ron Paul has become a complete nutcase conspiratorialist quasi-Anti-Semitic leftwing American-hating nutball.”
“Ron Paul is out of touch with this district and it is time for him to move on…Dr. No Must Go!”
These quotes come directly from my opponents’ campaign literature and websites. We cannot let these attacks stand.
I plan to fight back and will mount an aggressive campaign. Carol, my family and my staff are already working very hard, but I need your immediate support.

Rand surges to 19-point lead over Grayson
The survey showed Rand at 44% and Kentucky Secretary of State Grayson at 25%.
This has got to be devastaing for Trey Grayson, whose funding sources must be drying up now like mad. This will also hurt Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnel’s status since he twisted arms for donations to his darling Trey.
