The southern avenger’s analysis and excerpts are analogues to the main stream media’s attacks on Cain over alleged sexual harassment.
The MSM finds females who alleged maltreatment by Cain. They embellish old allegations and portray females involved as innocent.
If the allegations are misrepresentation or falsehoods initially how do defend against them?
Understand that all the Republican candidates have been getting attacked in what we call the ‘Liberal’ press.
Now Mr. Avenger takes some comments made by Cain and demonstrates lack of economic understanding about them.
Cain stated there was no real housing crisis where people would lose their homes. Economically that statement is accurate.
He did not state that false valuations would not be corrected. People who had real value, otherwise called equity, in their house did not lose their house. Rather the real value of a house was found out. Houses that had false valuations or unreal valuations fell to more accurate valuations.
For those who speculated on buying a house with nothing down anticipating that the value would automatically increase, they lost. They wanted something for nothing and lost.
For those who put nothing down and now found themselves underwater, they lost. That is the way the free market works.
Conclusion is that a valuation correction, euphemistically called a bubble bust, is a crises does not met the truth of a real crises. Panic by press and politicians wanting an immediate fix fails to understand truth and determination of value.
As to comments about imaginary recession, what is being called a recession is two things.
First, it is a market correction.
Second, the correction is being impeded by government. Specifically government controls, intervention and failed rules. The current administration could help the situation by getting rid of rules that prevent or inhibit market corrections.
The pro labor union attitude prevents wage adjustments in contracts that involve the Federal Government. The details are out there, just read them.
The EPA, aka, Environmental Protection Agency, has laid down stringent rules against power companies, chemical companies and many others. Where things have gone along for years with correctible issues, the Feds now require immediate or unreasonable remedies. Look to light bulbs as such example. I know of many others.
I think that Cain would look for responsible approaches to problems. He is a very good negotiator and consensus builder. I have personally seen him in meeting of divergent entrepreneurs and respect his management ability.
He has not always taken the position that I want, but he has moved forward in a good fashion without antagonizing. That is reason he was able to move the Pizza Company forward. And I believe he would find ways to move America forward and to the right politically.
Furthermore he would split minority voting which might enable him to defeat the media and left’s candidate. That is fundamental reason they are attacking him so.
How is Jack Hunter’s criticism analogous to the main stream media’s attacks on Cain over alleged sexual harassment???
First of all, are the MSM’s attack bad? I don’t know much about them b/c I rarely tune in to the MSM anymore.
Second of all, this idiot Cain supported TARP. How is possible for you to consider him a great capitalist when he supports forcing us to pay to rescue banks???
Second of all, he called warning of a housing crisis ‘ignorant.’ He also said people were exaggerating the 2008 bank crisis. And then it got really bad.
He’s a former Federal Reserve employee who has a big government perspective on everything that matters.
I can’t believe so many supposed conservatives support him. Makes me want to leave the country. We’re fucked when a TARP supporting, recession denying former FED employee is billed as a champion of conservatives.
Herman Cain represents a business man perspective and not an ideal application of theory. Yes, your candidate, Ron Paul is honest and adheres to a narrow ideology, specifically, Libertarianism.
However, the USA is diverse and more than half supported the socialist candidate, Barak Obama, during the last presidential election.
Can you really support 4 more years of Obama?
I rather understand that 4 more years of socialism will destroy what was America and the American dream. So, I have to evaluate and analyze how to win the next presidential election.
First issue is the socialist national media. Your candidate is dismissed and disparaged to the nominal or spoiler candidate level.
So, why Herman Cain? Contrary to your comments he is Washington outsider. Second is his ability to understand economic data. So, look at this YouTube and ask if you could do as well:
As to his being a member of the Kansas Federal Reserve Bank’s board of governors, that does not make him a Federal Reserve toady. Rather it gives him insight to what they are doing and maybe how to control Bernanke and his kind who control the Fed.
I have to say that Herman is a good man who supports the American way. Can you say that 4 more years of Obama would do the same?
I am sorry, but in real numbers, Ron Paul is unlikely to win national election. However, his candidacy forces a better discussion of the issues.
So the essence to the answer your question why, is that we do not want 4 more years of Obama or Washington insiders. Herman is not perfect but is feared by National Democrat operatives who try to dredge up lies and fabricate untrue stories to diminish him.
The question is how to win the upcoming election. Are you really willing to support 4 more years of Obama?

ps. He also said “I do not agree with torture, period, however . . . ” the military can decide for themselves what constitutes torture.
Torture is evil. And people who go on television and try to make it the new normal are also evil.
You are falling into the member of media trap.
