WaPo promotes writer who said ‘Karens’ were lucky blacks didn’t call for revenge

A Washington Post writer who tweeted that white women were “lucky” that black people were “just calling them Karens instead of calling for revenge,” has been promoted by the paper.

Karen Attiah is now a regular columnist on the “race, international affairs, culture and human rights” beat, the newspaper said Thursday.

Last summer, the Texas native blamed white woman for racial inequality in a series of tweets, while her employer remained tight-lipped on the ensuring controversy.

Jewish groups press Biden to open pathway to citizenship for undocumented migrants

An array of Jewish groups calls on US President Joe Biden and Democrats in Congress to create a pathway to citizenship for undocumented migrants.

In a letter addressed to Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the groups say such a pathway should be included in “in any economic recovery or infrastructure legislation.”

Bend the Arc, a liberal social justice advocacy group, initiated the letter. Organizations representing the Reform, Conservative, and Reconstructionist movements signed on, along with a number of major mainstream groups, including HIAS, the main Jewish immigration advocacy group.

Others included the Anti-Defamation League, the National Council for Jewish Women, Jewish Women International, and the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, the umbrella body for public policy groups. In addition to 19 national groups, a number of state-level Jewish groups signed.

After Mexico City introduced ivermectin plan, COVID hospitalizations and deaths disappeared

MEXICO CITY, May 26, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — A city-wide initiative in Mexico’s bustling capital to prescribe ivermectin to COVID-19 positive patients has resulted in a 52–76 percent reduction in hospitalizations, according to research by the Mexican Digital Agency for Public Innovation (DAPI), Mexico’s Ministry of Health, and the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS).

Concerned about hospital capacity in the summer of 2020, the Mexican government devised an aggressive testing regime, ramping up from 3,000 tests per day in June to around 24,000 antigen tests every day by that November, according to TrialSiteNews. Mexico City Ministry of Health head Oliva López later announced that doctors will give ivermectin and azithromycin to treat COVID-19.

“The Ministry of Health has identified that there is enough evidence to use in people positive for SARS-CoV-2, even without symptoms, some drugs such as ivermectin and azithromycin,” López confirmed in a press conference.
