  1. This discussion fails to appreciate that you first have to get elected. If Obama wins reelection then you have increased spending.

Second, you have to negotiate and compromise to get anything thru Congress. In a Republic you have to get legislation thru and in process you have to negotiate and compromise to get votes.

Which ticket is better for freedom? The Marxist ideology advocated by Obama or the mixed blend of Romney-Ryan approach. There is no question that there is still some maneuver room under Romney-Ryan.

Pure Liberatianism just will not win any election and it is the votes that count. It has been avocated by some Liberatians that let Obama win and then the result will be economic and social disaster. In the ensuing chaos, Liberatians will arise as the new world order.

So people are to suffer as they did when the Communists took over the Soviet Union. Are Libertarians avocating the USA go thru the equivalent of the Holodomar that resulted in Ukraine after the Communists took control? Then ask the question has Ukraine recovered?

Look to the story of Argentina. Socialist took control and what was result. Argentina started as a propersous nation. Marxism destroyed the economic machine in the name of providing social benefits. Has Argentina recoverd?

And see the Youtube more than more than once.

Rather I support the approach advocated by Charles Koch. Read, Discover, Learn. Seek achievement that is positive, real, means something.

  2. This talking head is a negative abhorrence and
should not be given more exposure.

He offers no positive ideas, solutions rather just
takes pot shots at those trying to do something
    positive.

What he demonstrates is the purveyor to this site
is suffering from post combat stress. His posts
devolve in the morass of what is wrong rather than
being constructive of what can be done.

It is a great pity and terrible loss for talented people
to get swallowed in the morass of evil.

More effort needs to made in finding good and
positive amongst the evil. This can be said of other
    economic writers.

Why aren’t economic writers analyzing Obama’s
goals and illustrating what efforts can be made
to thwart his goals of Marxist domination?

Why haven’t economic writers familiar with
Ukraine not analyzed the wrongness of Yanukovich
    and written about its effects?

Here is a commentators words about Obama:

    Obama’s Shared Prosperity: A Euphemism
Wrapped in a Lie by Daren Jonescu
    —————- // ———————

“Sharing” your prosperity includes, of course, ”
sharing” your wealth. It also entails “sharing”
all the years that you spent working towards
whatever wealth you have achieved, so that
others can work less. Furthermore, it means
“sharing” all the stressful nights and nervous
days you spent trying to learn the skills that
helped you to prosper, so that others won’t have
to put themselves through the same rigors.

According to Obama, “sharing” your prosperity
means “sharing” your life, your work, your mind,
your goals, your aspirations, the pain you endured
in overcoming your false steps and agonizing failures,
and, of course, your practical success, with anyone
and everyone the government deems worthy of a
    pound of your flesh.

Sharing is an action one undertakes intentionally.
Forced “sharing” is coercion plain and simple.
Government-enforced “sharing” is coercion at the
point of a gun: “your prosperity or your life.”

Government-enforced “sharing” — the rejection of
private property — undercuts. Thus, it undercuts the
prosperity it needs to support its own authority with
the “entitled” beneficiaries. This is how leftist
authoritarianism implodes. Let’s hope the world is
spared the terrifying prospect of watching the most
prosperous nation on Earth learn this lesson the
    hard way.

Note that he has something to say. While he
attacks Obama’s dream, he illustrates the differences
    with American concepts.

Let me conclude with this quote:

“It was Karl Marx who said that history
always repeats itself, the first time as
tragedy, the second time as farce. But
he forgot about all the other times, when
history repeats itself as profound ignorance,
    unconquerable arrogance, deliberate
    sabotage, and dismal stupidity.”
