VICE Called Marines ‘Neo-Nazis’ on Same Day of Kabul Attack that Killed 13 U.S. Servicemen
On Thursday, amid the shock of the ISIS terrorist attack in Afghanistan, the VICE portal published an article titled “Why Are So Many Marines Neo-Nazis?†claiming that, according to “anecdotal evidence,†many members of the United States Marine Corps (USMC) held right-wing extremist beliefs.
The news site then shared the article, written by its columnist Ben Makuch, with a tweet that read, “While many veterans are being outed as far-right extremists, one branch keeps popping up when it comes to neo-Nazis: the United States Marine Corps.â€
Afghanistan’s Last Jew, a Former Taliban Prisoner, Refuses to Leave
Simentov allegedly demanded money from volunteers working to facilitate his evacuation, Haaretz reported.
Moti Kahana, an Israeli-American businessman, told the outlet that Simentov initially agreed to be evacuated, but then made “personal financing” a condition of his departure.
Asked about Simentov in an interview with Israeli state television, Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen said he had not heard of Simentov, but insisted the group would respect the rights of minorities.

Allow all white South Africans the right to return to Europe – Petition
The idea that white South Africans have the right to return to Europe is based in the concept of indigenous rights and self determination.
The white South African population currently faces ethnic cleansing and persecutions at the hands of the ANC government, the EFF, and various individual anti-white aggressors. Over 4000 white farmers have been brutally murdered, often including torture and rape and mutilation. Many white South Africans today live in poverty and squalor as a consequence of the ANC government’s Black Economic Empowerment policy which shuts whites out of the labour pool.
Based on the Israeli government’s policy of allowing all Jews the right to return to Israel, we believe it is not only advisable but morally obligatory that Europe should allow all white South Africans the right to return.
As it currently stands, many white South Africans who try to apply for citizenship to European countries such as the Netherlands and UK are rejected. Many of these white South Africans seeking citizenship are direct descendants of the very same European nations that reject them.

Ten Years on, New Estimates of the Economic Cost of the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan
Last week the Watson Institute for International Studies at Brown University released a new set of estimates. The numbers are summarized on the web site of the institute’s Cost of War project and detailed in a paper by Professor Neta C. Crawford. The institute’s estimate of the total cost of the two wars now comes to just under $4 trillion.
It wasn’t supposed to cost so much
The wars were not supposed to cost so much. As the administration of President George W. Bush was building a case for the Iraq war in 2002, with some 5,000 American troops already deployed in Afghanistan, the question of cost naturally came up. In September of that year, Lawrence B. Lindsey, then Chairman of the President’s Council of Economic Advisers, estimated that a new Iraq war would cost $100 billion, maybe $200 billion at a maximum

UK deploys toy-sized spy drones in Afghanistan
British troops in Afghanistan are now using 10-centimeter-long 16-gram spy helicopters to survey Taliban firing spots. The UK Defense Ministry plans to buy 160 of the drones under a contract worth more than $31 million.
The remote-controlled PD-100 PRS aircraft, dubbed the Black Hornet, is produced by Norwegian designer Prox Dynamics. The drone is a traditional single-rotor helicopter, scaled down to the size of a toy. British troops use the drones for reconnaissance missions, sending them ahead to inspect enemy positions.
Each drone is equipped with a tiny tillable camera, a GPS coordinate receiver and an onboard autopilot system complete with gyros, accelerometers and pressure sensors, which keeps it stable in flight against winds as strong as 10 knots, according to reviews. The tiny aircraft is agile enough to fly inside compounds, and is quiet enough not to attract unwanted attention. If detected, the drones are cheap enough to be considered expendable [emphasis added].
Here’s a little trick I call “Math.”
$31 million / 160 = $516,666 each
