you know what wouldve been so awesome? if instead of babbling about god’s law and ‘moral absolutes’ in his return speech, Sanford had been like “i apologize for being MIA for a couple days and lying about where i was. but since i didnt spend any of your money on it, my affair (and all the salacious deets you didnt want to hear but i want to tell you about) is none of your business, and in the past when i have moralized about other peoples sex lives, i was wrong. and in the words of abigail adams: let no person say what they would or would not do, since we are not judges for ourselves until circumstances call us to act. the end”
