  1. Of course the income tax is legal. Go read Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution; what my question showed was how the second non-lawyer to run the IRS was not prepared for his job. Your conclusion is wrong — and if you believe what you wrote then what you are saying is that the United States government is “like a criminal gang….”

  2. What a strange comment. Written, it seems, in the language of a person afraid to speak freely. But I’ll respond to it at face value:

    If the income tax is legal, then why is the question you posed NEVER answered? Can you show me the law which requires people to pay income tax?

    I don’t think the constitution authorizes income tax. Something about “fair and apportioned.” If it did, we wouldn’t have needed the 16th amendment. But even that came up short. When the Supreme court ruled on the 16th amendment it said the government was granted “no new powers of taxation.”

    Am I missing something? Help me out.
