This is an important question, statement, response by many. They may not use exact words, such as ‘God gave me’ or a defined time like ‘a few thousand years ago’ , the essence of the thought is similar.
This concept is used in Eastern European countries where many tie their status or way of conducting business to ‘culture’. Many in important positions use past methods of conduct or ways of doing business as the hiden or underlying basis of their conduct or morality.
The question for those who recognize past failiures of corrupt systems is how to develop good reason into wrong headed ways?
